You probably visited all the same Phoenix attractions over and over during the long, hot summer of 2012 – the waterparks, the malls, the movies or anything else that was indoors or otherwise bearable. Those limited entertainment choices get pretty old after months and months of sizzling temperatures. Now it’s time to get outside, and Arizona Outdoor Fun is here to help you enjoy winter in the desert!

If you’re new to the Valley, or a visitor, you may not realize that we look forward to our mild winters every bit as much as most of the rest of the country looks forward to summertime. Winter here means freedom and fun, because there are just so many more great things to do in Phoenix once the weather cools off. From riding sport quads to fishing from a pontoon boat, you really can do it all in central Arizona at this time of year. With the right equipment, you can even get in the water to kayak, ride jet skis or wakeboard at one of the area lakes year-round.

Even if you have lived in the Phoenix area for any length of time, you probably haven’t seen all the natural wonders and experienced all the outdoor fun that we’re so lucky to have right on our doorstep. Or maybe you just haven’t gotten out lately and experienced the thrill of riding dirt bikes, ATVs, or UTVs. Do you have relatives who are ditching the ice and snow where they live to come visit you for the holidays? That’s the perfect motivation to head out for some real recreation, fresh air and family bonding time. It beats sitting inside watching It’s A Wonderful Life for the 25th time! If you’re too busy now with preparations for Christmas, make it a New Year’s resolution to get some exercise exploring your environment and remembering some of the reasons you moved to the Valley in the first place.

Don’t put off your Arizona outdoor fun. Before you know it, this beautiful season in the desert will be over. The Sonoran sands will once again be burning under a blazing sun, the rattlesnakes will be out of hibernation and the fish will stop biting as they take to the cooler water of the lake bottoms. The air-conditioned great indoors and the backyard pool will beckon again. Make your reservation today for ATV or UTV rental, boat or jet ski rental, or a guided tour from Arizona Outdoor Fun. Visit our website or call us today at 888-557-6447, or from within the Phoenix metro area at (602)-400-2445. Ask about our money-saving rental clubs, too! Details are available here.

Zooming across an Arizona lake on a personal watercraft creates a feeling of freedom unlike anything else. It’s no wonder that jet ski rentals are one of the most popular offerings at Arizona Outdoor Fun! The best part is that the lakes around Phoenix are accessible for boating and jet skiing year-round. When others have to be content with skating and ice fishing, Arizonans – and our many winter visitors – are still able to feel the rush of carving a wake across a smooth lake surface.

Arizona Outdoor Fun wants you to thoroughly enjoy your jet ski rental from us. As with all watercraft, however, safety should come first when you’re operating a jet ski. Here’s what you can do to make your Arizona jet skiing experience all thrills and no spills:

  • Always wear a properly fitting Coast Guard-approved lifejacket.
  • Don’t drink or use drugs when jet skiing
  • Use the automatic engine-stop accessory that your jet ski is equipped with. If you fall off, this will cut the engine and bring the unmanned jet ski to a stop. A wrist lanyard is a common engine-stop device.
  • Don’t overload the jet ski (observe the 500-lb. limit that Arizona Outdoor Fun put on all of our personal watercraft)
  • Keep a safe distance from the shoreline and look out for rocks
  • Constantly scan and be on the lookout as you ride – not just for boats, but also for swimmers, divers and waterskiers. They are even less visible than you, especially on days when the water is choppy.
  • Don’t try to ride above your ability.

Arizona Outdoor Fun is now offering low winter rates on personal watercraft rentals, or you can save by renting one or two PWCs for a whole day as part of one of our Fun Packages. We even offer the convenience of jet skis already in the water and ready to go at Lake Pleasant – saving you the time and trouble of towing!

Arizona Outdoor Fun offers several personal watercraft makes and models, among them the high-powered, high-performance Honda Aquatrax, a turbo-charged machine that carries three passengers at speeds up to 70 mph! Explore or website for more Arizona outdoor recreation options, and call us today at 888-557-6447 to make reservations (602-400-2445 in the Phoenix area.) Ask about our money-saving rental clubs, too!
